RTA means "ready-to-assemble". RTA furniture is nothing new. Why kitchen cabinets though? Shipping. Getting assembled cabinets to your door from an online store can be expensive. Shipping knock-down cabinets takes up much less space and saves everyone money. An entire kitchen can be loaded onto a single pallet. One truck can deliver many kitchens instead of just one or two. With fuel costs rising, RTA just makes sense.
What About The Quality Of Ready-to-assemble Cabinets?
How are ready-to-assemble cabinets different from assembled cabinets? The answer is in the question. Because, the materials and finish are exactly the same. The only difference is who is assembling them. The most important factor to consider, is the quality of the materials. Construction can vary from particle board or MDF (medium density fiberboard) to plywoods of different quality to solid real wood. Our cabinets are made with the highest possible quality of materials available. We don't use particle board or MDF and our plywood is furniture grade, the very best made. So, relax and be confident that when you order our cabinets, you are getting the absolute best quality for your money.

How hard is it to assemble our cabinets? Not hard at all! You don't have to be a craftsman to put these cabinets together. Cabinets are simply "pretty" boxes with two sides, a floor, a toe-kick board, shelves and, in some cases, one or more drawers. In most cases you will only need a bottle of good wood glue and a screwdriver to put a complete set of kitchen cabinets together. After you've assembled the first couple of cabinets, the rest go very quickly.
There are several methods we use. Camlock, metal bracket and L-bracket assembly. All three have their strong points. All three are permanent and easy to use. You'll be amazed at how strong and durable they are. We provide videos here that demonstrate how to use each method. You will also receive instructions with your order. Buying ready-to-assemble kitchen cabinets will save you money without sacrificing quality.
