RTA RECEIVING AND INSPECTING

RECEIVING/INSPECTION

For Commercial Freight deliveries, you must carefully inspect the order for the following:

1.  Visible Damage/Piece Count

     a) Before signing the Bill of Lading, count each cabinet to verify that you have received the number of pieces listed on the Bill of Lading. If the number of items does not match the Bill of Lading, note the missing items on the delivery receipt.

Missing items may not be able to be replaced free of charge if they are not noted at the time of delivery.

     b) Perform a surface inspection of the order, noting any visible damage on the Bill of Lading. Be sure to retain a copy of this for your records as you may be asked to submit it to help resolve any issues.

2.  Concealed Damage

     a) You must unwrap and fully inspect each piece for concealed damage within 7 days of receiving the order.

     b) If any concealed damage is found, note each item number with a brief description of the damage and report that damage immediately.

For UPS deliveries: We are aware that UPS sometimes leaves deliveries without a signature. However, UPS has strict claim procedure, which you are required to follow exactly, in order to receive compensation for missing or damaged items. When you are available for delivery, do the following:

1. Visible Damage/Piece Count

    a) Before signing the Proof of Delivery, count each item to verify that you have received the number of pieces listed.

    b) If the number of items does not match the Proof of Delivery, have the driver note the missing items.

Missing items may not be able to be replaced free of charge if they are not noted at the time of delivery.

    c) Perform a surface inspection of each piece, and have the driver note any visible damage on the Proof of Delivery.  You MUST accept delivery of damaged items.  Please take a digital picture and send it along with a description so that we can get your remake/parts order approved as soon as possible.

2.  Concealed Damage

     a) You must unwrap and fully inspect each piece for concealed damage immediately after receiving the order. If any concealed damage is found, note each item number with a brief description of the damage.

     b) Report the damage immediately.

If UPS delivers and you are not available to accept the order follow the steps above for "Concealed Damage".
